CHILD WELFARE & RURAL DEVELOPMENT SERVICES
The Children Welfare and Rural Development Services is a Non-Governmental organization that offers daycare and primary (K-3) education as well as protection services to children whose parents work in local factories. These factories offer extremely poor working conditions, and even worse wages, so while the majority of the children at this facility do have families, their parents struggle daily to make ends meet. On occasion, when the facility has been able to afford it or if a donation is made, they try to incorporate breakfast or lunch meals for the children because for the most part children come to the facility without having eaten, and without any food for snacks or lunch. Though the facility is primarily used as a daycare/school, the classrooms and front and back yard areas were void of any toys or play areas. We have also incorporated a daily meal for 60 youth, along with paying for rent in order to continue supporting these young children. Lastly, we purchased playground materials for the children to be able to use at the facility during recess.
